Born Michele Vasta, Ellis Island records show that Mike came to America on March 2, 1907 along with his mother,
sister Catherine, and brothers Sam, and Charlie.
Mike married Laura Smith, and together they had nine children: Frank, Joe, Annette, Grace, Joan, Patricia, Carole,
Sharon, and Sheila.
Mike was the long time proprietor of The Livonia Hotel.
